Mool Mantra

In ‘Mool Mantra’, the introduction to Japji Sahib, Guru Sahib first of all gives the description of Almighty that He is one, ‘Om’ is his un-struck sound and He is uniformly present everywhere.
One,
Om (the primal sound,
The) All-Pervasive.
The attributes of The Almighty have thereafter been enumerated.
Almighty is the only stable element of the cosmos.  His Divine Name too is the real truth.
True Name.
He has personified / manifested Himself as this whole Universe.  He is the source of all creations.  His power of further expansion or contraction is limitless and boundless.
(Real) Creator.
He is the sole all-powerful force behind this whole creation.  He functions as per His own choice without intervention from any other quarter.
(Supreme) Being.
There is none else who can pressurize Him to do anything in opposition to His Own wishes.  He is fearless.
(Knowing) no fear.
He does not have any animosity with anyone and has the same caring attitude for everyone.  He has no enemy.
(Having) no enmity.
He has no origin.  He is an Entity beyond the effect of time.
Immortal Entity.
He is not bound by the laws of this creation.  He is free from the cycle of birth and death.
Unborn (and undying).
He is Self-effulgent.  He Himself has the quality of perpetual continuance.
Self-illumined.
It is extremely difficult to have total comprehension of Almighty.  This can only be attempted with the assistance of Guru.
(Perception can be had as)
Guru’s prasad.
These elementary postulates about The Almighty have been further expounded in the various sections of Japji Sahib.
